  1. Many dog owners chose to bury their best friend when they pass.  Having owned over a dozen dogs in my lifetime, I have made this choice also as I wanted a memorial close by that I could easily visit.  In my case I did not get to live in the same house forever and job and personal situations made it necessary to move to different cities and I could not take the graves with me.

After my last move when one of my dogs passed I decided to have her cremated and purchased a custom pet urn for dogs.  This way no matter where I should move I can have my best friend’s memorial with me.  There are many types of custom pet urns for dogs available.  There are rock urns for outdoor display; hardwood urns; photo urns; marble photographic urns; marble vase urns and more.  Most of these can be customized with your dog’s name, dates, and even a laser engraved photograph.
  2. In the last blog we talked of our pet passing.  Today lets talk about the two choices of burial.  One choice of burial is at a pet cememtary.  This option doesn't seem so popular.  It's an added expense and your pet usually is across town which is inconvient to most.  But for some that is perfect as they don't want to look out there back window each day and see the constant reminder of their beloved pets absence.  So to some this would be perfect.

The other choice of burial is in our back yard.  Even though in many states it is illegal to bury your pet in your yard; we all do it.  Most people prefer this burial method because they do like seeing the constant remindere of their beloved pets absence.  It, in many cases is sad but it does flash back many great memories we have had with our best buddy.  It also allows us to decorate their special site as we personally wish.  We can put a pet headstone on it or even a custom pet grave marker.  It allows us to grieve in whatever way our personal preference deems needed.  We choose the spot to bury our pet...not the cemetary.  We choose what grave markers/customized pet plaques we put there not any one else.  But for some of us we just choose to pick a nice shady spot under a tree to put a little custom pet memorial as a I will never forget you reminder for us. I guess in a whole what i am saying  is to each their own.
What will you do for your pet at their death ???

  3. All of us who have pets love them dearly.  We love them as if they were our child. A lot of us treat them as our child; we dress them in cute clothes, they have there own special bed or most of us let them sleep with us.  We buy them special food, take them on vacation with us and rush them to the doctors when they are sick.  But what do we do with them when they pass?  Do we bury them in our back yard or bury them in a pet cemetary across town? Or maybe we have them cremated.  There is a lot of different beliefs and feelings on both. Please let us know what you think.
